About the Project

A former Durham County Council Care Home site, previously Cheveley Care Home, Aidan Gardens is the development of 26 two, three and four bedroom apartments and houses in Belmont, County Durham. There are 5 two bedroom apartments and 21 three and four bedroom houses. We demolished the existing building to make way for desirable family homes in this popular residential area of Durham. Demolition began in January 2016 and the site was fully completed in November 2017.

The site is located at the junction of Brackendale Road and Broomside Lane in a predominantly residential area and within walking distance of Belmont Cheveley Park Primary School. Belmont is situated approximately 3 miles east of Durham City Centre and benefits excellent road connections being located just off the A690 (Durham to Sunderland) which leads directly to the A1(M) motorway.
